A friend lent me his copy of "Crusade" when I was 16 and this song in particular and the rest of the music I heard on that album inspired my love of Blues from that moment forward. Years later the same friend and I saw this exact line-up play this same song at the band's gig in High Wycombe. My friend and I just looked at each other in joy and disbelief. Thank you John for everything. You will be sorely missed.RIP.

@@deborahbrown6408 Yes its Alexis and I found but forgot since, the song I was referring to "Alexis Korner Still Sings The Blues In Heaven. Oops, just came back. Sally Barker did it on the TV show, The Voice I think. I first heard it on some radio bout 10 years ago and I liked it so much but when I started searching it took me days to finally find it. Of course you can find his songs to. He had many who would become icons. Plant Jagger etc. Etc. I had thought myself, the same, that it was as this conversation goes, thinking May all, until I found that Elexis came before. Also you will see a few different spellings of his first and last but I'm sure this is the most used. Hope you find it cause she sang it beautifully..

I saw him back in the 80's opening for John Mayall. He was booed of the stage 30 minutes into his show. He was so sloppy drunk he could barely play

So glad Mayall is still going strong...became a fan in the early 1960's while I was a college student...great bands and song choices.

The first record I bought with my first paypacket was John Mayell and the Bluesbreakers. His music still brings back memories of that happy day. Mick Taylor, such a big influence while he was with the Rolling Stones, shoulda stayed with the them! What a career choice!! Gives me hope that partying keeps you fit!

Sat about 10 feet from him for a solo show in a small jazz club about 35-40 years ago and along with the Stones Exile on Main Street tour two of my favorite musical events I’ve ever attended. His slide work is up there with Ry Cooder and Derek Trucks.

Saw them in Buffalo on same 82 tour.. I met Mayall and John McVie and got Mayall's autograph Taylor took off before I got chance to get close but I got better chance on Taylor's solo tour at the famed El Mocambo in Toronto where Stones did their legendary show there and got front row seat and got within 3 ft and missed a chance at another autograph but was cool to see him that close 😁
