i think he played his new black one (from the ice bucket challenge video) but when i saw him in atlanta last weekend he played it on the 'new'-ish sunburst strat (the one in the video picture)

Jake Shaw thats not the first guitar John owned. Its similar in color to his SRV Strat, which he bought in like 1996.. That is the Strat that his first signature Fender Strat model was based off of. Then he built "the black one" in 2004, at the Fender Custom Shop. Fender has only made a limited run of that Strat, without it appearing "weathered" and played to death. I believe they only made like 87 of them?, and they went quick. His first guitar ever was a Fender Squier Strat.
