@@I_do.not_fearyou just checked. Nope, not seeing it at all. Plus John has already convincingly claimed he never experimented with psychedelics. If I remember correctly he even said he felt like he should try out some to see if it helps or hinders his shows with Dead Corp. Being the odd man out in that group would be weird. But hes a great player, just not my flavor. And I hate pretty much everything Bobby does now. But again, I don't see it. Hopefully another person enters the thread and we get a 3rd opinion. Cheers.✌

I wouldn't think he is on psychedelics, but he could definitely be smoking some weed or maybe pills of some sort. I don't know too much about mayer, but I could definitely see him being a little buzzed here. Maybe even a little tipsy. Who knows, this was during the pandemic so I'm sure everyone had their own way of coping with the isolation and loneliness.

I will always miss the Gratefuldead because we were all friends + I went on tour with them for quite a lot of shows ! I have to say that I do like Dead + Company ! Jerry was my soulmate + I miss him so much but I hope they go on tour again but I heard they were going into the studios to record !

When Billy mentioned it was tough to unwind after a show it kinda seemed like Mayer was thinking, " I never seemed to have that problem." I know Im reaching Im just saying its funny because you know Mayer can't relate in the slightest lol. Could you imagine if Mayer joined GD in the late 60's or early 70's? Lmao, he would have ended up becoming some kind of religious nut like TC. Fyi, Constanten became a scientologist during his brief tenure with The GD lol. I wonder how he felt when they revealed the xenu scripture to him.

I thought TC was already a scientologist pre-GD. They attracted a different crowd back then than they do now, I think it was a little less freaky in the 60s. Also this is pure speculation but I don't think Weir would've put up with Mayer if the didn't have that generational gap. Weir was very committed to being the hot one and I can't imagine him letting anyone threaten that.

John is a great addition to keep this music going. When Jerry died I stopped seeing any new incarnation of the Dead. Then a few years ago my brother, who had been going to D&C shows said I should try one…I did and loved it, Weir’s voice has been great and John’s guitar fantastic. He is always insightful in his comments. Not sure about your hate?
