Sorry about that, I was in very tired and in a bad mood when I wrote that. I stand by what I said, I just wouldn't have been so tactless about it. I can't comment on him not being nice to people he doesn't have to be nice to, but he does do things that aren't really expected of him. Like sending a pretty lengthy letter to a pretty small forum about how to get the best out of your guitar and good places to put your money when it comes to guitar gear, along with a full list of the gear he uses.

Again, sorry for calling you an Idiot, you're entitled to your opinion. I just think without actually meeting a person, getting to know them a bit, you can't form a proper, informed one. For the record, I'm definitely not a blind fan of John Mayer. He's more one of my guitar inspirations.

Seriously? What exactly are you basing your character judgment on? Do you know the man? Have you even met him? Had any kind of conversation at all? If you're just going by a couple of things you've seen/read on then net, then you're an Idiot. Despite how ridiculous I think it is, if I were to judge him by what I've seen on the net, I'd say he IS a kind, generous person. He keeps in touch with his fans, shares his musical knowledge, puts on a good show at his concerts, and so on.
