While he's clearly being deliberately elaborate with his choice of vocabulary in order to appear educated and intelligent to all the 16 year old girls watching this video, he's done people a service in that there are a lot of John Mayer critics who just hear his soft voice and think he's a bland pop singer, but actually have no idea how incredibly talented he is and don't even take time to try and appreciate him. This guy has put those guys in their place. So I applaud him.

I'll be the first to say that this album deserves a Grammy nomination.Even though I've only heard 3 full songs and a couple snippets here and there I am confident that this album will be his best work to date. I can't wait to hear the rest!

kinda true, but i still think that this is better than most singer songwriters do. And he can never top neon, covered in rain, belief or gravity. Those are classics. Its just like mark knopfler. the direstraits songs are classics but the music he plays now is totally different. not that they are bad or anything.. just a different style and some people digg it and others don't. still.. i have to agree born and raised wasn't the best album ever but i still like it alot

You can't expect an artist to stay the same. If you do, that's incredibly selfish in my opinon. Every artists grows and creates music in their own way. If anything, his songwriting (lyrically) has improved. His lyrics have so much more meaning to them and he tells better stories now. He's growing up guys, get off his back. If you want his old stuff, just go and listen to it.

That is because you failed at understanding BrannonMcConkey's statement, in the first place. The reason you did not get it, is because you are either; a casual musician, or not even a musician at all.

Well, like I said, if that is actually how you are, then fair enough! I don't have anything against you, and I don't mean to offend you. It was just a little cheeky pot shot to begin with, because cheeky pot shots can be fun and they often start little arguments like this (which are also fun), but I'm sure you'll agree there was no real venom to it. Have a nice life.

Whereas I now realise why you decided on writing in such a way (pointed out by Jamie Stevenson), Don't assume that by thinking that this 'Really sounds great' makes me a moron. Sometimes, people don't need to sound like they've tripped face first into a thesaurus to really appreciate something.
@DemGamingVideos11 жыл бұрын
You sure didn't, but from observation (and I'm not trying to poke at you on this), but it just seems to be the way you talk, you seem to use quite unnecessarily long words at times. That's fair enough you're obviously just capable of talking properly, it just seems a little unnecessary you know?

If you do actually say things like "stylistic aggregate" and "simplistic paradigm" on a daily basis, I'd be very surprised. I'm not saying it's not true, and if it is I applaud your vehement and varied verbal forays (okay, I'm taking the piss here), but I'm sure you'll agree with me that many, many people on the internet use overly elaborate vocabulary in order to gain some sort of intellectual high ground on the people they're trying to criticise or debate with. I viewed you to be one of them.
