Obviously, John is on another level of the human psyche. The ideas, the thought, the articulation of the phrasing, the images evoked, the musical talent, the intelligence, the intellectual improvisation... He is on the same level as Robin Williams or other Bob Dylan and Mozart. A sort of hyperactivity of improvised intelligence.

This is a great and sooo brief look into John Mayer. His analogies are spot on with bull's eye precision. What a storyteller and a sentimental soul. Truly reflective of his work and his life. As I've seen him live and listened to many an interview, I continue to hear passion, kindness, humor and sincerity. Great job Jeff!! Your true friendship shines brightly with this one! Channel Islands it is definitely interesting to observe this sudden cliche of “I was a dick but now I’m a great person” but everyone that speaks of their experience meeting him usually have nothing but positive things to say. Joe Rogan himself said he dislikes johns music but thinks he’s a very kind person. So while I do think this change is genuine, I’m still skeptical.

I’m the same age as John. When he was emerging on the scene in the early 2000’s I looked at him as a teenager heart throb that would be a flash in the pan. Man I have come accustomed to love this guy. He is so chill…just himself being who he wants to be. I enjoy listening to John talk and expand on life almost as much as listening to his guitar skills. The dude is a complete package of Artist, Philosopher and friend to share a beer with. John you gained me as a fan later in life and apologize I didn’t give credit to you earlier when we were younger. I think you will go down as one of the best guitar players of all time when the next generation looks back one day.

I agree with John on his outlook on how the Fender Strat and a few other models are a timestamp of 50's car culture, 100% true.. The two-tone paint scheme with the white guard screams 55,56,57 Chevy, But honestly, That is what I Love about those guitars and Obviously playability and sound and function. It's like a 50's pin-up girl they are absolutely Gorgeous. I own one PRS Guitar that I bought used which is an excellent axe but I feel like the Silver Sky is too pricey for an average Joe like me.. Good interview BTW I paused it halfway through from yesterday(finished watching this morn.) being the Nerd I am I commented on this video twice... I have a problem...
