I was the one who started the “3x5” shouting chain. My sister’s poster for “I’m on fire X 3x5” was too big and security forced us to throw it away. Being a guitar player, when I saw him take a guitar out with a capo, I started shouting “3x5” and my sister and a few other people joined in (we were in row 6) and I am so glad that John heard it. It put a smile on my face to know that my sister got her wish at that concert

Finally got to see the version same as album one...I am also learning this song but changing the chords has been the difficult task...but I'll try to achieve to learn this song by end of this year (PS it's been 6 months since I started learning guitar)

As a guy I used to think that John Mayer's songs represent having the perfect female soulmate to share your time with. But then I realize most people don't have the patience to be that perfect buttercup in someone else's hand. Most women just want a guy who is just a replacement for a big dog that they can leash around and just nods when they tell him something. Maybe I'm wrong. They pretend they want someone more interesting than themselves but they don't. It's just a temporary novelty. The fantasy they love is not the reality they want. And the idea for a guy that you can be a John Mayer sitting on your bed with your guitar while your girlfriend sits there like a John Mayer audience is such a totally idolatrous abstract that could never ever exist at all.

John Mayer is a good player but if you started humming one of his songs would anyone pick it? He is yet to write a great song that every can recognise. That’s the ultimate test as we saw in the opening of the Amadeus film.
