Rhythm and bassline are the boss. Everything else comes from that. Rhythm first then bass then the rest. Make a solid foundation and build from there. Glad you got something from it. Cheers

So many laughs! And good lesson. Doing something new with the rhythm is what I need. Get stuck in a rut with the standard rhythm too much. Maybe show us some slow buildups that we can practice. Start simple and keep adding to it. I need some groove.

We can't take ourselves too seriously ;) And what do you mean about "slow buildups"? You mean standard simple blues rhythm into more complex rhythms and ideas? And you want it in fingerstyle or with a pick?

Toby Hack - THGUITARIST Yes basic rhythm and then adding more to it a little at a time. Rhythmically challenged people like me need to see each piece. I know it’s hard to slow it down cause you’re to the point where your hand just does it. Thanks Toby. I think a lot of people want this skill and few can figure it out.

It all depends on your own personal taste. I have evolved and devolved my techniques and learnt new ones over the years. It always serves a purpose. If you don’t like it Or don’t need the technique then find the ones you do a,d get stuck into them. Music is a personal journey ✌️

@@TobyHack-thguitarist i like this technique, but i use the hibrid pivking with the pic in the hand , using the two and three fingers and the 4th finger , like erick johnson does, that technique i enjoy and really want to train. But you earned my sub.

I disagree, but there's definitely more to this than what I've shown here. This was aimed more for beginners. I may do another one that's more in depth later.
