Judging by the stick I gotta go with 2000ish? That's funny as hell, love it. These days I don't love BJK's current stance on Saudi Tennis and John and I concur on that.

She's quite interesting. She has strong principles, but she is a pragmatist who is willing to compromise to nudge the ball forward. That was already evident in the 1970s when she enlisted the help of Virginia Slims to start the WTA.

@@KingCast65 I know what you are saying. When it comes to the current issue though, the problem is that if they were to refuse to engage with Saudi Arabia (and comparable societies), then there is also going to be the criticism that they are being condescending towards the Global South, perhaps even Western imperialistic. (Same applies to FIFA in Qatar, the Olympics in China, etc.) There's a right and wrong, but as you imply, it's a ethically complex situation.
