@@Brenda-ef9tlI’m 42 and I remember where I was the first time I heard it…it was about 2 hours ago, at the whole foods in Covington, La. I had never heard it before, but as it played the entire vibe of the store changed. I saw all ages all colors listening, enjoying it. I’m 64 and have been listening to John since before they let him use his real name…😂🏆 Key West Intermezzo was playing in the delivery room when both of my daughters were born, one in Bloomington, Indiana in 1993 and the other one in Charlottesville, Virginia at the UVA hospital in 1996. 3 years and 600 miles apart and it was the first music that they both heard. It’s one of my favorites now for that very reason…I Saw You First !! ❤

What a great homage to our horny teenager years. JMC has a way with words and nostalgia in his songs that is so sweet and innocent. Makes you long for those days again when you listen to his music. Was at my Dr's office was headed back for blood work and this song came on their system. I immediately got chills and I made the poor tech wait till I could remember who it was (I'm 67). As soon as I left thew office I pulled it up and have been playing it since I left. My late husband bought me all his albums/cd's when he found out how much I love his music. Now it's time to go onto pandora. Who would have ever thought 80's music would become office background music? So grateful for the reminder.

I was also a sophomore. I saw JM perform this on American Bandstand, fell in love with it & immediately went & bought the 8 track. My group of friends I ran with hated it but within a week loved it & we were cruising with the windows down & my 8 track cranked! I have been a fan since that first day!

I love this song!! And, you don't hear it much..I say that alot..it just reminds of..a lazy Sunday afternoon..& a Sunday family dinner..or sitting on the porch..know, it has nothing to do with the song. Just the mellow (ness) of it..soft flow..music 🎶 I'm 47 years old 🎤 -it's a feel good song..

It's my favorite song. In the early 2 thousand's I played a gig in a lowell Michigan bar by the river were the lowell show boat was, and a young guy possibly not even born when this song came out thanked me for playing it. He told me it's his favorite song to. I even do the sax solo note for note on guitar. I love this song.
