Lyrics:
I was listening to the radio
I heard a song reminded me of long ago
Back then I thought that things were never gonna change
It used to be that I never had to feel the pain
I know that things will never be the same now
I wanna go back
And do it all over again
But I can't go back I know
I wanna go back
Cause I'm feeling so much older
But I can't go back I know

I think those of us who experienced the 80s feel heavy nostalgia because we can remember praying for the future to hurry and get here. Never realizing that we were actually in the best days ever...

This song says it all. I wanna go back to the 1980s when things were simpler, people listened to the radio and bought records, watched MTV and there was no computers or cellphones. Eddie Money was one of my favorite artists and this song brings back so many bittersweet memories. Take me back to the good old days.

I'm 64 and it hit me today, when a friend posted a photo of the beach where I spent a ton of time my entire life, until our friends who lived there died in the past year. I immediately thought of this song, played it, and started crying like a baby.

@@alwaysmiserable .... Wow,,, I am truly sorry for the abuse you endured, however the longer you hold on to it, wherever he is he is still winning. I pray you can heal in your very soul from it all. You can make the change and surrender it over to Almighty God, rebuking that generational curse in Jesus Christ Powerful Name. Almighty God is thee only one who can heal you, if you allow HIM. Never wish eternal hell on anyone, you will live your life in regret, rather pray that in your dads last days which I’m sure he knew and regretted being a pos,,, that he asked forgiveness of God. You see when someone treats others so horribly you have to step back and realize they treated you the same way they were treated as a child. That’s why I said God gives us power and authority to break and rebuke those generational curses. You are nothing like your father was right? No matter what, you can change the course of your life and become who you were created to be, you are NOT a product of your father or mother, God made you and every human being uniquely different. I wanna go back to the 80's, my teen years. Things were simpler, I'd do things different, right some wrongs, take opportunities I turned down, take risk that at the time I was too scared or shy to do. Yes getting old suck, your actual vision gets worse but your hindsight gets clearer and clearer.
