This song was playing in the dealership when I bought my first new car. I bought an 85 ford ranger, and the very same day my wife and I drove to Seaside, Oregon from Snohomish, Washington. That was the day I had our honeymoon, and to this day the song and truck give me good memories of that day.

A great song for writing or working out by. Love this song. Singing it kept me awake on many long drives to and from college late at night as I went to college 6 hours away from home.

When I used to hear people talking about John Mellencamp, I used to think they were talking about an old 1950s singer. Hadn't realised I had been rocking out to his songs for years lol
