Thank you Bigfoot for doing such a great job on your Vlogs. Your subscribers are so fortunate to have you bringing such realism to each video which makes me feel like I am right there. One particular shot today was of the water, the blue was magnificent. Take care

Great videos, looks/sounds like you're doing good with the elevation, don't think you'll have any trouble dealing with the 13-14K level. Mt. Whitney's been on my list for years, go for it.
@FollowBigfoot7 жыл бұрын
+balkandancer Thanks. I was lucky that my body adjusted very well to the altitudes. Before this hike I don't know that I had touched much over 10K.

The first bear on the JMT I've seen from all the hikers I follow! I suppose that darn heavy bear can is actually necessary 😬 Fabulous video

Would love to hike the JMT (and PCT, and AT, and TA) lol. Thinking of perhaps starting at Mammoth to fit it into a 2 week trip from where I live (VA).

I would like to hear your comments on the Zpacks single wall tent in regards to condensation vs a double wall tent such as a Big Agnes. Thank you. Love your videos.
@FollowBigfoot7 жыл бұрын
+Thomas Eagen You have condensation on the Duplex. Any single wall tent will have this regardless who makes it. What I have been doing is pitching the Duplex up an extra inch or two and it pulls the bathtub floor up that much and now I have no issues with my sleeping bad touching the ceiling and getting wet. Since I've been doing that I have no issues with the condensation on the ceiling getting on any of my gear. I am 5'8" so that also plays into it as not being very tall either. After close to 3000 miles on my Duplex, I love it more than ever (and I own a Big Agnes too)

So glad the hut was open! :) Was there still a ledger or guest book? Must have been great to swing that door open. John Muir was a badass :) Grateful for forefathers such as him. That Bear looked healthy and the Deer also. Thanks again for filming and sharing this as I myself wouldn't be able to see it otherwise. Peace, Wheelchair John in Idaho :)

+k6lsn I didn't see any log book, someone should bring one up there so we can have one. It was pretty damn cool to go in there! You are very welcome!
