Wow ladies..... TY very much. I enjoyed watching your journey. I did the JMT in 1974 and again last year 2018, I am so motivated after watching this. I will be doing it again end of July 2019. Good job congrats to both f you.

Really enjoyed the video, soundtrack, commentary, and all. I particularly liked the time-laps with the headlights going up to Whitney...just great!

Nice video! One note, its best to wash 200 feet from lakes and streams, even with biodegradable soap, to minimize impact on wildlife, and in consideration of other hikers who will draw drinking water from that source.

you guys have you shit together. I was going to be pretty disappointed if there wasn't some whiskey on a backpacking trip =P I can't wait till I get a chance to hike this incredible trail

When did you do this? I'm curious because your photos of Mt Huxley (from Evolution Lake) show no snow in the couloir on the north side, but in August, 1970 (or so, I don't remember the year), when I climbed it, it was full of snow.

What a great, upbeat, and fun video. I have two friends that giggle all the time on the trail. You two reminded me of them. I trailnamed them the giggle girls. Great job, you made it look easy. Ya, that trip down was long, I didn't feel the need to take many pictures afterwards myself.

Love this video, great job. But I really like is the fact that you remind us all that while hiking the JMT is certainly challenging it is meant to be fun also! You guys show us how to have fun and I thank you for that! Great job 😃👊🏼. We had out at the end of July 2019 heading northbound from Cottonwood Pass. My goal is to have fun like you did!

What solar charger did you use and how did you like it? I tried to check out your gear list but it just goes straight to lighterpack and not your personalized list.

Really enjoyed your video--looks like you had a good time. I kept wanting to try and somehow reach out and encourage you to lighten up some of your gear while I was watching. Did you have a kitchen sink in your pack somewhere?? Just joking of course--anyway looks a trip you will alway remember. Thanks so much for the video--best wishes.

Great video, very fun! This is on my bucket list...did you carry food for all 17 days or did you resupply anywhere? I see you caught fish at times but to carry food for 17 days would be crazy heavy...just curious since this is something I'd like to do in the next few years. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
@mumblic6 жыл бұрын
I don't think its possible to carry food for 17 days ;-)) Nice overview can be found here: www.pcta.org/discover-the-trail/john-muir-trail/jmt-resupply/ Everybody's approach is different by the way!!

We resupplied 2 times. Once in Toulomne, so day 2, so we hiked out of the Valley with barely an food, then resupplied at MTR with 7 days worth of food.
