JOHN!!!!! this is just so wonderful! A mentor once told me "go ahead and have your plan, but remember to remain interruption friendly" So I continue to consider my plan for the day and ask (which means pray) especially that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest, or self seeking motives.. at first I was thinking, "then why even get out of bed?"😂 I'm brand new to this channel and completely over the moon! Thank you God for giving John the gift of transformation and for giving him the ability to transmit the message! What a great demonstration! 🎉🎉🎉

I'm learning that I need to have margin in my life so that I can be interruptable. Crowded schedules and hurry leave little room for God to work through me. My recent challenge is to live like Jesus did - at 3mph - so that I have time and energy to embrace what He calls me to.

So wonderful, our church has been discussing this very thing. My husband and I have experienced many career interruptions and of course to be a parent of children of any age is to have interruptions. People at work, all around us. I love that John points out, though, that Jesus said NO to certain interruptions; usually people who were suggesting things that were not in the Father’s will or not in His mission. Jesus said YES to people who really wanted his help, and He could tell the difference. I need God to direct me and show me where to say yes and where to say no. ❤

My life was disrupted in 2015 when I quit my job to take care of my father. Even when I lost my father, it continued in a stable pattern until recently. There were some big changes, but they worked within the pattern. This summer, God has shown me (Or, I think He has shown me, I'm still inviting Him to correct me if I'm wrong) that the pattern will end, probably end with the year. In a sense, I'm ready. But the problem I have always had is the "need" to get to work on the next thing. When I was in college, I wanted the books for the next semester by the time the current semester was only halfway over. More recently, I've taken to calling it the HU!NY! ("Hurry Up! Not Yet!") Syndrome. And yes, the antidote is trusting God.
