Met John in Ottawa about 13 years ago when we took our kids to see him because he was one of the few clean acts. After a great show in which I never saw my wife and kids laugh so much, we bought one of his audio CDs and stood in line to get it autographed. When it was finally our turn, he immediately noticed we only had one cd between the kids and proceeded to give us another one and sign them both. He was such a personable man. You felt like you'd known him forever. The whole family was so sad to hear of his passing. He is missed but not forgotten.

What a wonderful story, Christopher. When I introduce John to people who never had the chance to listen to him the line I always use is, "I don't know what gluten is but it must be delicious!" He was funny, of course and one of the best (actually to me, my favorite) and the artistry of his routines was something the whole family could relate to. He was a true artist and a comedic master.

John Pinette was such a delightful comedian. He didn't have to spray us with foul language to be comical. Funny, how comedians seem to think foul language is necessary, but I digress. He had such wonderful gifts! The expressions on his face were priceless. His coined phrase, "Nay! Nay!" cracks me up every time I hear him say it. After hearing his impressions, (in my opinion) he also, could have had other careers to choose from, although, I am very glad John chose comedy. His comedy still entertains the many, and will continue as long as we remember. I wonder if he had any idea how much he would be missed by his fans? As far as I am concerned, the happiness and laughter that John Pinette left behind, will not be forgotten! Rest in Peace, you dear man!
