Nicely performed on all of these. I haven't been playing the drums for a long time, but once I did, and I felt every drummer should learn all 14 of these solos.

Thanks for trying to answer my question. I think it might be the grouping of notes.

It is showing you the grouping that displays the rudiment he is referring to.

Such nice playing and execution! Thank you for your work putting these solos out here, its been very helpful. Question about the ratamaques, here you play a little accent before the downbeat accent, which aren’t marked on the book. Is that a feel thing for you? Is it just an advanced version of ratamaque? Should they be played like that? Sounds very good though when played like that. All the best to you and greetings from Finland.

Hi I add a few accents here and there to make the solos groove a bit more. Don't be afraid to inject some of your personality into these solos. The last thing you want to do is play them as flat, boring hand exercises that don't groove. Think of them as miniature drum set solos and try to play them at several different tempos. You will find they sound good at a wide range of speeds.

What do the brackets with the numbers underneath in the score mean?

Not exactly sure what you are referring to but I think it is either the strokes of the rolls or the rudimental key which is at the end of each piece. I do not have the book in front of me right now.
