John Prine is my #1, #2 and #3 most favourite artists. I am 65 and have been listening to him since I was about 20. I was homeless a few times and lost everything. Eventually getting back on my feet... the first music I would re-buy would be John Prine. He's as much a part of my heart as any family member I have. And I say that in a positive way. Just a couple of nights ago, Christmas Eve, 2018 I was invited to an afternoon guitar jam sharing music with a friend's mom. Her mom is 81. 'Mom' was having such a great time and at one point Peggy, her daughter, leaned over and asked her what her favourite music of all time was. Her response nearly knocked Peggy off her seat... without taking a second to think she said... John Prine. Peggy was shocked because for years I have tried to get Peggy to learn some John Prine and she always declined. As of Christmas Eve she has a brand new goal in life. Learn John Prine so we can play for her mother again.
