From humble beginnings, he fought his way to the upper echelons of the NFL. Undersized, he outplayed most of his peers and had a long career in the league. His play and his trash talking makes him a favorite of mine. Don't forget the face paint and the jean commercial with him chasing a chicken wearing a Favre jersey.
@mattgeary99878 жыл бұрын

Dana Stubblefield was a DT for the 49ers who benefited mightily from playing beside Bryant Young. When Stubblefield got a FA deal with Washington, he was exposed as a limited player. Randle was just referencing that Gogan goes up against a scrub in practice, and couldn't handle someone of his caliber.

The powers that be wanted 250lbs from him before they would even consider talking to him. He said he got to 244 and impatiently went. In the locker room, he looped a chain & padlock around his waist and hit the scales. Hidden under his sweats, he managed 251. haha. ..the rest is history. Look up his doc on here. It's sweet.

Zero Friends that’s when he was 21-22yrs old. Trust me by the time John was 28 through 33 he was every bit North of 275lbs.. his Muscle maturity set in, along with his efforts to gain weight started paying off in his late 20’s.. he’s basically the same size as James Harrison (5’11 1/2 285lbs) but John is an inch taller than James.. the same size as Aaron Donald (6’ 285lbs) but John is slightly taller.
