HELL YEA!! Real country is a breath of fresh air these days. I keep asking for John to talk about how he got started in music and share some stories about his music career. I grew up and loved the Dukes. But i also grew up in the 80's hearing his songs on radio And then in early 90's as a young single adult. I wish i could show you how much the songs impacted me and helped. Thanks for continuing to show todays "radio" music , what real music is.

This is great and brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face. My father just passed on Friday night and this song was comforting to hear. In Australia our term for a cowboy is "stockman" or "drover" which is what my dad was in his younger days. Horses, cattle and western movies were apart of our family life .. Besides hearing Australian country music artists, Johnny Cash vinyl was always played on Christmas day and other family events. Thank you John, this song gave me some great memories but also soothed a little bit of pain. Appreciate what you did for this stranger mate.

Wow John I know the family from Atlanta and Ellijay would have loved this song. I hope to come to Louisiana one day and sit and reminisce of the old days before the Dukes and before you took off and chased down your dreams .You mom Mrs Shirley and Auntie Pobbie are smiling down . They were such fun ladies to be around when I visited Auntie and Unk in Atlanta I would sit and laugh at them for hours .
