In the spring of '89 when I applied for the News Photographer job at KTSM-TV in El Paso it wasn't so much for the award-winning journalism of market 104 as it was the legends of Hueco Tanks, donkey shows, and cheap tequila. I managed to sneak out with Ch. 9's camera (and squeaky tripod) to document my new friends at my new favorite place.
