Shot with this kid years ago, he was already on point!! He showed up with some self-shaped experimental sticks and was riding them very well. Been following his progress ever since and am always inspired.

Do you have any idea how tall John is because one of his personal boards is on the used market and it looks sick and it’s a stepup but it’s 6’3

A whiteboard and pen would have helped. Sound ideas btw. I'm assuming the side panels in the nose present some V yet the concave up front flattens the center entry rocker for less pushing of water like he said. Everything in the nose area sheds water more easily due to the flat panels, thus avoiding a clingy front end (because flowing water clings to soft curves). Fun to follow the quest to blend these various elements into a harmony of opposites, toward more instinctive performance.

Quad fins closer together so to surf like a twin/tri fin…..na mate! TWNZER fin! The twinzer fin is a twin fin with two smaller fins in front called canards which help clean water prior to the twin fins which give more speed and better manoeuvrability just like the fighter jet JAS 39 Gripe and others alike. The twinzer surfs similar to a twin and a thruster/tri as the canards give it more hold. The sweet spot when turning, has a larger area and doesn’t spin out like a twin but doesn’t hold crazy like a quad would/could. Twinzer… the happy medium of a thruster and a twin, very fast but controllable. Try one and thank me later

Thank you for this @77pebble 🚀🌊....That's the beauty of innovation! 🏄♂️My shaper of the last 20yrs #estrats...put me on quads - 5'11 • 19 1/4 • 2 3/8 about 10 years ago and I never went back to thrusters, unless it was a step-up. Epoxy quads - I just adapted to...The Kerrzy Fin setup with the dimples were my go to...But those #canards sound pretty syck! Only tried a twinny once; felt like I was on a skimboard!
