I like your example at the coffee place, where someone would ask about the whole menu and slow everything's down, but because it's also a very good way to illustrate a common counter argument to Kant's point. If someone had a very serious allergy, it would make sense that they take more time to ask for the whole menu. The point is (roughly) that one cannot universalize a law, as there is no universal human being. It's a well known argument, but that coffee place example is perfect to illustrate it, so thanks for making me think about.
