A time for kindness A time for cruelty A time for tears A time for love A time to go A time to stand A time to run And a time to die Time never waits, Time always wins, But we can be brave And we can love with a full heart And use our time

Hagman, easily one of the best characters in Sharpe, only eclipsed by Sharpe himself, and maybe Harper.

Him singing in the background adds so much atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the series.

When I think of Sharpe, I automatically think of Hagman. "Sing out Dan". The song had been around in one form or another for centuries. Just as relevant today . Change lines 2& 3 of the chorus to; Way across the Afghan plain, Queen Bess commands & we obey. The 95th weren't there, until Waterloo, where the fought with distinction at Quatre Bras.

First saw John Tams as part of The Albion Band way back in the late 70,s at Stantonbury Leisure Centre MK , the performance was awesome & was as much theatre as musical performance , since then have been a Fan of John Tams & have seen him live many times over the years since , a true giant of the Folk scene .

If you get the chance to see him live, he's brilliant. He's a good raconteur as well!!!
