Tate would balloon to over 300 lbs. Between fights ....his trainer was disgusted of his eating habits ....he would eat a whole bucket of kentucky fried chicken by himself and wash it down with a liter of pepsi .

One of the most fascinating knock outs I’ve seen…..if only bc I’ve never seen a fighter literally run like that from an onslaught…i’m not knocking Tate at all cuz I’m not the one getting hit….but I can’t tell if he was out on his feet and instinct took over or if momentum turned him and kept him going…..you can’t blame Trevor for hitting him though bc Tate was not actually down….

It was muscle (nightmare) memory and PTSD on Tate's part. Tate was an Undefeated great champion of promise, with all the tools and a bright future, until his previous fight against Mike Weaver whom he beat and battered from pillar to post for 13 ROUNDS! (Back in the day real men fought 15 Rounds!) At the beginning of the 15th round against Weaver, Tate had DECISIVELY won EVERY SINGLE round, except the 13th where Weaver made a run....ALL TATE had to do was Remain Upright for the 3 minutes of the 15th round and he would win a LOPSIDED, OVERWHELMING UNANIMOUS Decision and retain the Heavyweight Championship of the World! Well, Guess what!? Weaver came out like gangbusters on 🔥, knowing he needed a KO to win and landed a series of punches against an exhausted Big John Tate and Knocked Him OUT COLD! TATE fell Face Down UNCONSCIOUS and was counted out and Weaver was the New (and ultimately most boring, (except for John Ruiz)), Heavyweight Champion of the World! Most unbelievable fight ever. You need to find a copy of the tape
