That Blasteroids game is so cool, two players on screen at the same time. Also love the idea if one player has the largest ship and the other player has the smallest ship, the smallest ship can dock onto the larger ship. So the larger ship controlls movement and shoots as normal, the smaller ship acts like a gunning turret only with 360 shooting. ;)

Hey man, just want to say thank you for this video. Over the past handful of years I've known of Funspot, but I only got there twice. It's 5 hours from NYC each way....just too much of a hassle for a day-trip and too $$ for me to get a hotel, etc.. for a longer stay. HOWEVER, this place is about 3 hours away and very doable as a day trip! It looks like the essence of what I crave. All the classics in both vids & pins plus TONS more pins. I can't wait to have the time. Plus I need to play DK on a real cab since I just beat my personal best on MAME (150k+) :)

I loved this place so much. Went there the last weekend they were open to pay my respects. I've heard that Sarah St. John is servicing the pinballs up at Funspot now; may be why they're running better than they used to. When I went here the games I always seemed to come back to were Doctor Who and Black Knight 2000, and for a while they had an original Firepower that I couldn't resist.

As always, awesome vid! I didn't even know that place existed, next time I head to Funspot I will definitely stop by there too! I've got a Beast Busters boardset at home, haven't tested it yet though, interesting thing about that game is it doesn't cue the guns off the screen, it entirely figures out its aim by a couple of potentiometers in the base. BTW Funspot just got a Pacmania, I happened to be there when it came in today.

FINALLY! A place that has all the great fighting games! And they have a Street Fighter Alpha 3!? That's a great game. I still play that game to death on my PS2. One of the best Street Fighters ever. This place does it right. All the great Pins and just great arcades. If you are ever going to do an arcade, learn from this place folks. As John has said, you can't be a true arcade if you don't throw something to the Street Fighter fans. And SFA3? Great game. Great game.

Hi John. I just want you to know that your channel & basement arcade is insanely awesome. I just wanted get your honest opinion on some popular arcade games to get a wannabe rookie, like myself, started off. I suggest either light guns or pins, since I'm a light gun & pinball type guy, but other types will also do. The light gun games I want your suggested opinion on are Area 51 (With it being very popular), Area 51 Site 4 (The sequel to Area 51), CarnEvil, and Ghost Squad. Some pinball suggestions are Taxi, Fun House, and, one of my personal favorites, Wheel of Fortune (Based on the hit TV game show). Again, your KZbin channel is pure insanity. Keep up the great work.

Just came back after watching the full PB Hall of Fame, Las Vegas video. Loved this video, and really glad you brought the tripod this time. I don't know if you've already done it yet, but next time have someone film or bring another nerd with you to do the cameraman-ing, while you play and show some good stuff. Get the video duration up if it there's no restriction on it. From start-to-end: Your content is really cool. Speaking of Pinball Wizard Arcade (Pelham) looks like a cool place (if it's really still there, as read in other comments it shutdown or something or no?!) But not as much Pin tables here than there were at HoF. Cool sights nonetheless. Amazing video (now finished) Looking forward for more similar pinball videos mate. One more thing, i don't know maybe you're not gonna like it, but try not to waste those fan/emails by crushing and throwing on floor or dustbin. Yeah, i know it's on your own paper printed not a real post/mail. Just pile 'em up somewhere as you keep reading in the video (bin them or burn them; behind the cam) :) Stay blessed man & keep entertaining. You rock John. Let me check your other videos........

A unique part about Tekken 5 is that it has PS2 ports on the cabinet for your to play with your own controller if you want. Both Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey and WG3DH 98 are on N64. Good ports too. Also, don't even let someone fool you into thinking Paragon is good.

Hi john, loving the mass amount of videos your putting out of late, thanks for the entertainment :), Oh and i could never get rid of a outrun, it was a game i used to hunt down on every camping holiday i went on as a kid in the 90`s. My dad used to allways take turns playing it with me so it has alot of cool memories, when i would see it in the arcade i would get so psyched because were my dad enjoyed it, i would be guarenteed to get some credits :) ps, if you cant make it to the end of outrun john, just keep going left at each intersection, furthest left route is the easiest, so try it sometime ;).

For the MAME monitor choice, I ran into the same problem. My (cheap) answer was finding a cheap Sony Trinitron that fit my cab, gutted the tube out of it (BE CAREFUL, AND GROUND OUT THE TUBE FIRST), then found a video card that had S-Video out on Newegg and used that on the input of the TV.

Great video John. I guess it's just as well that there is nothing like that in the NE Ohio area, saves me a ton of cash. The only game in town is Dave & Busters, 75% redemption, 25% videos and 0% PINBALL, what a shame. After meeting up with my kids at a local BAR Cade (I'm not going to mention the name) 2 days later I'm sick as a dog. There should be some sort of law that hand sanitizer is required to be supplied and used at these petri dish establishments. Happy New Year...

Awesome as always John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech... That is how arcades should be, at least that's how they were mid to late 80's over here (not so many pins though) and thanks for reading out my viewer mail... All the arcades near me are redemption and fruit machines, with a house of the dead 4 (i think it was 4), a Lucky and Wild, a Time Crisis 2, a Point Blank and a Jurassic Park pin... These all seem to move around 3 arcades month to month which are all owned by the same company... Sucks massively... Also no more Star Wars and you're thinking of getting rid of Outrun and Gyruss, dude you're killing my childhood..! lol just kidding keep it up mate... :D

Hopefully I can help a little with the person asking about arcade monitors in the UK. In Europe we are a little lucky, most TV's have SCART inputs and if used correctly make the TV an arcade monitor. SCART connectors avoid any processing and directly display the signal to the screen (connecting via any other method is processed electronically so is basically crap, in the US they do not have SCART so are probably not aware of this.), so, you need an Ultimarc arcade vga card, make a vga to scart lead (search on google for vga to scart arcadevga) and pick up a tv of the desired size. The TV you will be able to pick up for nothing or nearly nothing, Ebay, free local papers, local tip. Good luck...

Hey John, I restored a pair of Space Invaders Deluxes (as mentioned in the vid). I got a pair thinking I would only get one good machine out of it. Well they were both salvageable and now they have fresh stenciled side art, new control panels, decent monitors, Braze kits and new molding and repainted coin doors, oh and rebuilt bottoms with new levelers. I knew I wouldn't get my time and money back but it was good experience (I couldn't scrap either one) and I have the nicest one and really enjoy it. So what do you think one is worth? I was kind of thinking between 4-500. (I'm in Michigan)

I was just here today and yes this place is pretty awesome. The only pinball table I played was "Whodunit" and I got annihilated pretty quickly but you are spoiled for choice. Other than that, a little robotron here, a little galaga there, had a pretty decent run on Metal Slug X and beat the advanced track on Daytona USA (singing along to the soundtrack).

Banzai run looks awesome. Ive never seen anything like it. I also spotted a Tron Legacy pin there, unfortunately ive never played it. The arcade scene here in Galway is terrible. I'd love to do an "on the road" type vid like this too but everything here is just "ticket games" for kiddie prizes :/

Hey John was just curious in why you passed up on the blitz cabinet, I would have to say if I could have 3 arcade cabinets they would be Donkey Kong, NFL Blitz, and a Truxton also I really want an Ice Cold Bear after watching your videos.
