Rita Braver, a wonderful journalist, is not an artist and so asks the typical, painfully simplistic kinds of questions one would expect. It would be meaningful if Waters could present the works in his collection as more than crazy and wacky. I am positive that sees them as more than just goofball crap, but by not acknowledging this he does a disservice to the various artists and their work. I'm thinking especially of the Tuttle piece shown at the beginning of the segment. A knockout piece by a incredibly important artist is reduced to a bad, one-line joke -- and so what is the general supposed to public think with Waters denigrating it??
