John Wayne's career in B-Westerns before he became an A-Lister with Stagecoach(1939) is always fun. Thanks Cult Cinema Classics!

Who all are the A listers. Kindly suggest some of their movies. Fiction action I do not like.

It only looks like a B-Western because it's from 1934.. I had over 170 of Wayne's movies and crashed the drive they were on, it makes me sad this movie was one I didn't have. 😥

This fllm is so old, even Gabby Hayes still had darker hair! Believe it or not, in 1953, George " Gabby" Hayes came into the NYPD 18th Pct. NYC, to register his NY state pistol permit while in the city! My uncle, an NYPD officer, got him to go out to his car to sign a picture of himself for me, a 7 yr. old fan! I kept that picture for decades, before it was accidentally damaged! One of the greatest character actors!

This video seems to be missing the scene where the Sheriff and Carruthers actually meet, it skips it and picks up at 10:08, also skipping the guy on the right riding into town. A tad strange...

John Wayne was such a lovely man! 🙃. Considering he was a racist and misogynist pig. Yes he married latin women, admitting and stating he only married them because they would look after him and cater to his every whim unlike his fellow caucasian women. He also wrote a statement about his racism towards Blacks. Such a lovely heroic man!
@topsyche3066 Жыл бұрын
What he actually said was: “No nation has a monopoly on beauty.But I consider the women of Central and South America to be unusually warm and lovely. They have a good feeling for family life and so have I”

Just because you don't agree with his views does not mean he was a racist or woman hater.
