I've been watching A LOT OF Keanu interviews now after I've watched John Wick Chapter 2 and god he is the most humble and friendliest actor EVER. It is so impressive. He is so nice and down to earth. Many times "should we skip that question and go to the next" and he says "no the lady asked a question" so of course he is going to answer it. I've noticed this amazingly friendly attitude (many "celebs" don't seem to have) in all those other interviews and other things I saw about him. He has clearly become one of my favourite celebs by now - in fact I can not think of any nicer person.

I too found him to be as you said and the more I find about him, the more I can see why he has something special. Hard not to love and respect him. Plus he is not only has a beautiful soul/heart but he ain't that bad to look at. Hahaha. Humble as they come, too.

@Teresa Hickey Oh wow that is great to know. I have experienced a lot of loss throughout my life because of cancer so I am super happy to hear that he fights against it. How do you know about this if he didn't tell anyone and doesn't draw awareness to it? I think it isn't even wrong to draw awareness to cancer foundations. Ironically I donated money to a company that does research against cancer just today. Like I think it is great he is humble but maybe if he talked about it, it would draw awareness to such researches and more people would donate? idk

The way I see it, Keanu identifies with the character John Wick- his long-term girlfriend died in 1999, and prior to that, he lost an unborn child when his ex-gf miscarried. The character of John Wick is someone who is suffering through grief and keanu portrayed this grief pretty well. Keanu always looks sad but that is because he has been through alot.

Jennifer Symes died in 2001. And his girlfriend didn't miscarry. The child was stillborn and had to be delivered on Christmas Eve, 1999, at eight months, a few weeks shy of her full term. In 1993, he'd lost his best friend, River Phoenix, to a drug overdose, at the Viper Club, partially owned by Johnny Depp, which had been a favorite haunt for many of them, including Reeves. He found out while he was working on the movie Speed.
