Actually that’s not true take a closer look at the position the blood trail is leading and then take a look at the position the puppy is laying down. When a human or animal is bleeding out and they crawl the blood trail will be in the same position as the body.

@Sharron Brennon I don't think you are taking into account the blood trail is from across the room in the direction the puppy was killed at. So I'm pretty sure it must've crawled to him which is incredibly sad and a unique extra detail in the movie.

Unless the dude just dragged the dog across the floor until it was face to face with John... which I doubt because the dog is super small

This is actually one of those movies that I watched because so many people were reacting to it on YT. The guy who plays Jimmy the Cop at John's house has got to have the best bit role in cinematic history. And the fact that Keanu was pushing 50 when this was made and still put so much effort forth in learning the fight choreography. True legend.

First point of note when John pulled the knife into his side at the end of the fight he pulled it into the same spot where he had already been wounded and stitched back up. So he knew there was nothing vital there and it was a safe place for the knife to go and allow him to take possession of it. Then second point when John took the knife and stabbed it down through the area behind the collarbone but in front of the trapezius muscle. If you ever look a picture of the blood vessels on Google or something like that that run around your collarbone you will see that there is a major artery and blood vessel that comes from the heart and runs right there in between your collarbone and your on the way to your arms. By stabbing down behind the collarbone that way if the knife is about 4 in or longer it should penetrate one of those either vein or artery. If it's an artery you're going to bleed to death even if you leave the knife in if it's the vein you might live for a little while but as soon as you take the knife out you're done. When the bad guy said be seeing you John he did not realize that John already knew the spot where he was stabbed was a safe spot. But he still could have bled out if he did not close the wound

The actor who played Iosef is a nice guy irl 😂😂 he adopted Daisy from the caretaker after (or mid) production, because he thought she was super cute and loved her….. this movie is an action masterpiece, everything about it is very well done. The way John Wick can be an absolute badass with a single stare is enough to show that 😅 Love you both…. Zay’s humor is my religion 🫶🏼

I agree with the top tier cinema. SOme movies are great because of the writing, some are great because of the visuals. But this, the writing wasnt overpowering, the visual effects were fitting for every scene, and the music fit every scene very well. Not many movies have music that fits so well. The ones that usually pull it off the best are the ones that have music created specifically for the film.

The gold coins look like South African Krugerrands - they were minted starting in the 60's and were illegal in the US when in the mid-80's Reagan imposed sanction due to the anti-Apartheid sanctions. The coins are 1.09 troy weight and 22 karats. Currently worth about $2000 each they are a cool "Wick world" currency, I think. They are easier to transport and launder than bills and hold their value in all countries.

You should definitely react to the rest of the movies in the series. You'll love them. I've seen 1, 2, and 3, but not 4. They were great action films. Something that ties to the gold coins that were being used for payment. The hotel manager (played by the late Lance Reddick) was named Charon. In mythology, Charon would ferry the dead to the underworld. His fee was gold coins. People would bury the dead with a gold coin. I thought it was kind of cool that they chose that name for that character.

what bothers me most from reactors/reviewers for this and other movies that involve animal injuries or death is the tears shed for the fictitious things happening to animals when there is little reaction (certainly less emotional reaction.) to human deaths and suffering in movies. it defies logic in that people value animal life more than actual people's life.

There is conjecture that John's wife was a veterinarian. She had a dog sent to him. He knew exactly where he could get help for his wounds. He watched the phone video of her right in front of the place he went to for the meds. He picked a dog that was scheduled to be put down. And as he walks away with the new dog he is walking the same route where his wife collapsed in the beginning. You have an incredible rabbit hole opened before you now.
