​@@MovieNightReaction Exactly. He was Bab Yaga. Essentially he was so good, he was the assassin you would send to kill other assassins. As an aside, the Reason Viggo didn't start off apologizing to John was as a matter of face. Viggo was a local Russian mob boss. John Wick used to work for him. If he apologized for his son's actions, his people, and those he had just finished putting the screws to, would have seen him as weak, and showing that he was afraid of John Wick...which he was. All of Viggo's actions were a dance to keep his face. He sent the hit crew after John, not because he thought they had a chance to take down one of the most dangerous assassins in his own home, when he knew they were coming, but because he needed to be seen making, at least, a token effort to protect his son and his business. Putting the contract out showed that he would side with his son and protect him,against a former associate, and wouldn't be intimidated. When they knocked him unconscious and captured him, he couldn't just kill him then, because it would make him seem afraid. So he had to tie him up, torture him a little, then have him executed. When he gave up his son's location, he could be forgiven that by his men and others, because he had made a reasonable attempt to protect and save him, and at that point it was him or his son. And this was all a result of his son's actions. Essentially, while he loved and cared for his son, all of his actions was a matter of preserving his reputation. Also, in the club, when he was staring into the eyes of the man he stabbed, that was less about being brutal and savage...although it was. He was still in stealth mode, so he was watching and controlling him until he was sure he was dead and not able to make any noise. And, similarly, the reason why he didn't kill Yosef while he was in the pool wasn't because he wanted it to be up close and personal. As Viggo said, he is a man of focus. A true professional. The man at his feet was still alive. He wouldn't risk attacking Yosef while the man under him could still be a threat and fight back. He pointed the gun at Yosef to freeze him and keep him from going for his gun. At least, these are my theories. Not backed up by any concrete lore.

It is worse...they did not pick up the puppy and put it next to him... ...puppy crawled to John and then died cuddled next to him...that is why there was a blood trail. 😢😢 Also, nice job spotting that Charlie the Cleaner...who came to clean up the bodies at John's house...was played by David Patrick Kelly, who also played Sully in the Schwarzenegger movie Commando...I have never seen anyone catch that before. 👍😁

If it’s done in self-defense, it is allowed, but any such death may warrant an investigation to determine fault in the matter. John is considerate enough to not want to bother the hotel with that, and he just wants to get on with what he needs to take care of, anyway.

as I understand it the wife was a vet before her illness, had a vet clinic, and that is where she got daisy for john. in the end he returns to her vet clinic to patch himself up and saves the pitty. if you read the placard on the doggies cage he was going to be put down the next day so john didn't take a dog who had an owner but saved a dog that was to be put down the next day.

We actually had the camera lights in our eyes so we couldn't see the scene well because of the glare. If you look back, you'll notice I had trouble even seeing the dog, and that was because the lighting made it difficult. But I'm about to rewatch the scene now. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Besides the stunt work and the realistic gun work, the other thing that really sets this movie series apart from other action movies is the fact that the protagonist actually gets hurt and there's plenty times where he needs help getting in and out of places and situations

They didnt put the dog in front of John it crawled over to her master before she died. You can see the blood trail. Unless they drug her over making a smear mark. That seems a bit extra. Yoseph seems like a self-important narcissist. He probably didn't know who anyone outside his circle of yes-men and bodyguards. When i first watched this i thought the continuous head shots were just not something that could be done even by a professional. I was wrong. There is a video out there that shows Reeves practicing a course with several different guns. He is a wicked shot scoring headshots quickly all over from different distances. He does a quick release of a spent magazine in order to reload faster. Professional shooters have adopted this reload method. Thats pretty cool.

Viggos son was most likely in a boarding school and wasn’t around when John was working for pops. But John knew his name right away when Marcus said it which makes me believe they knew he had a kid but nobody knew what he looked like and being gone for over 5 years while the son becomes part of the gang and has no knowledge of John for that reason.

The reason John doesn't kill Yosef in the Red circle is because John is taking everything away from Yosef. Just like Yosef did to John. At the end the final fight takes place at a port. So the animals are being held in quarantine. They are tested for illness and if considered a dangerous breed destroyed. The paper work on the dog's cage that John take states the dog is scheduled to be put down.

Btw, when John goes up to Kevin Nash (door man) and they are talking, when he’s seemingly telling John that he lost weight…when he says “60” in response, he’s not talking about his weight… instead what he’s actually telling John is that there are “60” guards/bouncers inside the place!😉👍 😅 So yea…alot of casual &/or first time watchers will probably just think that the weird text highlighted are odd but assume it’s just some purely stylistic flare oss (myself included) but it’s not always the case in the film Awesome reaction btw, subbed 👍 plz more, unlike nearly every other franchise (unplanned / made as a stand-alone) are normally just cash grabbing shadows of themselves by the 4th installment…but not these ones! I mean like seriously tho…if anything they have just gotten better and better ffs! I’m not a huge action fan but goddamn these movies are absolutely freaking awesome my dudes! The scene with John Wick and Francis the back door guy at the red circle... I'm not sure but it seems like code talk, you lost weight, then he says yes like some like 60 something in Russian. In my crazy thinking, Francis was telling john how many security personnel were inside? Then when john said take the night off... Francis says thank you sir. I watched it twice. It's just my perspective on that situation. Maybe I'm on to something or not on that scene. And for a second bonus observation-Charlie, the Dinner Reservation (Waste Disposal/Clean up Guy) Was in the movie "The Crow" Brandon Lee Movie.

You are correct, he said 26 kilos meaning 26 people waiting for you. John Wick has a simple policy, help me you live, you don't you die. He did it again w/Ms Perkins in the hallway. A gun to her head... Give me something, do you really want to die here Perkins? That's when Ms Perkins gives up the Russian Church. She does so to save her life. If she refused to provide information, she would die on the spot. Frances knew that too. 26 Mr Wick there's 26 inside.

He was telling John how many guards but they changed it from kilograms to pounds. He says he lost 28 kilos, the number of guards in the Red Circle. In early cuts the kilos comment was not changed.
