The first Queer as Folk was a british show and the young guy was 15, and I believe was played by Charlie Hunnam.

What do I like about Coffee & Tequila - - I like your easy, no bullshit interaction. It wears well over time. Both of you are comfortable in your own skin and are not trying to be something you are not. Would be a blast to share a couple of drinks somewhere down the road. In the meantime, just keep the shows coming as I am already looking forward to the next one. Regards

Queer as Folk was really groundbreaking when it first came out, and it did a damn good job of reflecting the reality of how the gay scene was like back then. At least the scene that I was experiencing when I was an international student in the US back in the early nineties. Thus it forever holds a very special place in my heart. I couldn’t get into the new one, kinda stopped watching after two episodes, will give it another shot sometime in the future for sure though, too bad it didn’t get picked up for another season, it is hard to do a remake on a classic like Qaf, because people like me would always compare and nothing would hold a candle to the original series.

Fun as always! James Marsden also did a little indie film with Scott Speedman, where they played gay back in the day. Definitely worth a watch and maybe a review. Sophia Vergara also makes her debut in it.

The British QAF was cute but I really got into the American version (back in the day). Regarding splitting checks (my husband and I usually agree to pay the full bill if we were the ones who arranged the meet up) but most of our friends will usually give us some $ for their food / drinks.

Well.. I was taught if you invite someone/other's out. You pay.. But if we are meeting up as friends.. I will ask the waiter/waitress separate checks please.. And as for me.. Life is to short and I cannot forgive and forget.. And to constantly stressing where he's at? And what he's doing? Or who he's with?... NO!!!.. I'm better than that!.. And even though it may be hard!.. That person came into my life to prepare me for something even better to come. So always move forward and never look or go back.. Because the Truth is!... Nothing good will come from it.. Great seeing you both.. 🙏❤️👍

Hey guys, great show, just a little factoid. There was an original Queer as Folk (British) show filmed in 1999 and 2000 produced by Channel Four Production. The teenage character "Nathan" was played by a young Charlie Hunnan.

When I go out to eat I like to enjoy the meal. That means drinks, appetizers, entrees and maybe dessert. I would never for a minute think that someone who only got an entree should subsidize my meal by splitting things evenly. But with some of my friends, we eat/enjoy the same way so we can split it evenly without any problems. If I'm going with a mixed group of people I will bring cash to cover my part just in case it's too challenging for the server to split things up - which I totally understand. Usually, in the long run, it all balances out but I think we have all been on the short end of the stick and left hanging with the bill at some point.

Well I was getting ready for gym, then ding and it’s u two so I had to watch. Loved Queer as folk, I really liked the way they introduced the gay guy in rescue me. Splitting cheque is interesting, at my age I often just go I take it. But when with peers we split sometimes equally so I pay more as single buy it’s easier. Haven’t seen Wick 4 but will, I have seen the first 3. Jury duty sounds cool. Alastair I am reading Farseer Trilogy loving the book. Other than it’s always sunny in Philly I don’t really follow tv shows, just things in series on prime or netflex, or Disney. Picking any of those that are hot would often be fun. Gentlemen it’s always a privilege to join you two. Great way to start the day.

I am more on Zach's side on the paying for stuff. Sometimes at a dinner, people over order because they know they want to split the check. Those are naughty people. There are also discrepancies about how much to tip then as well. Some people don't want to tip generously and they get mad. It's always better to do separate checks. Then people get what they want and pay for what they got. I know sometimes servers don't like all those bills, but then their chance of a tip is better since it allows people to be generous if they want instead of mob cheapness. End of rant. LOL
@cherrymilk5590
@cherrymilk5590 Жыл бұрын
Alastair says he likes being generous, then says he's fine with Zach cheating on him and jokes that they should try and tries to find the cut off point. That's like a blaring red flag if I've ever seen one, I genuinely think he is cheating or has cheated and hides it. He's selfish from what they've mentioned. Zach can't even say his boundary because he's worried Alastair will jump on the opportunity to test that boundary. Zach deserves better.

@@cherrymilk5590 This sounds like you are reading a lot into SOMEONE ELSES RELATIONSHIP. This is NOT the forum for that since you are NOT involved in the relationship. You seemed to have confused the conversation about paying for dinner and expanded it. I find your comments cruel and completely out of sync with this channel and this couple. I have been following this channel since before Alastair, when it was just Zach and his dog. There is a line between speculation in general and making pointed, unsubstantiated claims. You need to apologize for your comments to Zach and Alastair. ☹☹☹☹☹

@@joelbuchanan471 did you watch the whole video? This isn't regarding the splitting checks. When you put intimate parts of your relationship out there, ppl will catch on to the kinda ppl you are. And Alastair had a SUPER weird nervous response to the cheating conversation. Hasn't Alastair demonstrated his selfishness on several occasions? Like making Zach's b-day about him? I feel sad for Zach. Maybe it's speculation, but Zach mentioned being cheated on in a previous relationship and talked about how awful it was, I feel like he is only budging because Alastair is so casual about it. Alastair isn't loyal, he's not someone you wanna let in that close. I just hope Zach can get out of it.

@@cherrymilk5590there's nothing like putting out as much bile as possible in one response. I find your assumptions about their relationship to be from the limited view of this channel and the addition of your imagination. We see an hour video every once and a while. There are 23 other hours of their day we don't see. So your conclusions are based a very small amount of observation time. Even if you have these thoughts about this couple, why would you make them public? Are you that cruel, or insensitive to these men's feelings? Your motivation is to be examined. Just sayin.

@@joelbuchanan471 you're right that I don't know them. They don't share my values, but at the end of the day it's their life. Not every observation or speculation is intended to be hateful, but it may come across that way. I do genuinely suspect Zach will get hurt, which is why I commented. Regardless, I'm just giving my two cents, I apologize to Alastair if misjudgements were made. Good day 👍

The story I did NOT want to hear was that god-awful run-down of Vanderpump Rules. You'd hooked me with the expectation that I'd hear your review of Wick 4 which was very brief. Surprised that in talking about Jury Duty you never mentioned James Marsters' role as SPIKE when you ran through roles he's known for. Always enjoy Coffee and Tequila sessions! BTW, cannot imagine the two of you ever breaking apart.

I never saw the British version of Queer As Folk but was obsessed over the US version because it was “on TV”. Because besides showing naked bodies, that envelope was pushed as far as they could take it. Although, everyone says the British version was better. I cannot bring myself to watch this new version on Peacock because there’s too many teen boppers. It’s just not appealing as what I hoped. I tried, but it seemingly lacks maturity for me.

If it makes you feel any better, Zach, just like in Jury Duty, the puppy was just a puppy actor- the puppy didn’t really die. 😊 I did like the first (American) Queer As Folk quite a lot. It’s the main reason I still have Showtime, but not HBO. The current show I’m watching is when you probably would not be all that interested in: “Schmigadoon” season 2, which is called “Schmicago.” But since I don’t think the two of you are particularly into musical theatre, it might not resonate with you the way it does with me.

We won't go to dinners with large groups, who pays what can become contentious. We've forgiven one night stands but not a good idea. Better to ask what would put the mystery of sex with a stranger back into the relationship. It can be done! Enough "reality" TV. Love you guys. Phil
