John Williams - Indiana Jones Raider's March (with score)

The orchestra for the Indiana Jones score is far too large for me to show you the whole thing at once with you being about to make out any notes. Therefore I have focussed on various sections and individual instruments that are important at particular moments so you can have a feel for the orchestration of this piece. I hope you enjoy.

I truly think that the reason I liked so many of these movies, is because the music is so magical. I just bought a conductor's score of his Harry Potter music. They didn't have this one in stock . . . so I am watching this!!

José I'm not offended since I play horn. Still, horns double cellos in the first part of the 2nd theme and they are not shown in the video. I understand that showing all parts could be considered as a copyright infringement.

Does anybody knows why the melody from "Marion's theme" is played by the cellos instead the violas until bar 84? Was Williams looking for the color of the high register of cellos?

I think that the cellos blend better with the French horns , which are also playing the melody.

Why do both trombones 3 and 4 play a c2 at some point? Doesn’t that means that the piece of orchestration is 2 tenor trombones and 2 bass trombones instead of 3 tenor trombones and 1 bass trombone?

Not sure about the exact instrumentation of this but I know Williams uses 4 trombones in Duel of the fates with 3 tenor 1 bass but 3rd tenor also doubles on 2nd bass trombone
