I’ve never heard of this song UNTIL - We landed in Darwin and went into quarantine then on a Saturday night, people were playing music and this played. It was brilliant, completed a week in quarantine, sitting out on the balcony, relaxing and just slowly watching the sky turn all different colours as the sun began to set. What a start to my Australian adventure

LYRICS By B. Brown/W. Johnson I've been around the world A couple of times or maybe more I've seen the sights, I've had delights On every foreign shore But when my mates all ask me The place that I adore I tell them right away Give me a home among the gumtrees With lots of plum trees A sheep or two, a k-kangaroo A clothesline out the back Verandah out the front And an old rocking chair You can see me in the kitchen Cooking up a roast Or Vegemite on toast Just you and me, a cup of tea And later on, we'll settle down And go out on the porch And watch the possums play There's a Safeways up the corner And a Woolies down the street And a brand new place they've opened up Where they regulate the heat But I'd trade them all tomorrow For a little bush retreat Where the kookaburras call Some people like their houses With fences all around Others live in mansions And some beneath the ground But me I like the bush you know With rabbits running round And a pumpkin vine out the back Songwriters: Robert Alexander Brown / Walter Edward Johnson

Our two nations don't have grand cities or settlements (traditionally) we've both had an agricultural history, with no beautiful cities to look at we both ended up worshipping nature, I think this is why Americans and Australians have similar religious tendencies, we both live in and love gods creations, as he made it, not as man has built with stone to best nature, we accepted there is no perfecting gods very creation.

CrabCakes how? Guns kill people. School shootings?? If America had gun control you would have less school shootings. And shootings in general. And yes guns are fun to shoot I go shooting each day. But you don’t need to own a gun. And you shouldn’t be able to let like a 5 year old shoot a rifle. Also why can you buy a little pink sniper rifle.
@crabcakesgaming4 жыл бұрын
Johnno The Yobbo as long as you train people to be safe with their guns and they don’t want to kill people they won’t, besides never once has a gun walked up and shot somebody. As for the pink rifle why should it matter what color the rifle is?
