Interesting insights into EKs early life and guitar playing . I still remember vividly the first time hearing Today Wonder, middle of the day , up really loud ,on the porch of an old house overlooking north Beach , a Perth summer day circa 92 ,maybe 12 or so friends all on lsd, just drinking beer and being taken to another dimension by Eds cinematic and otherworldly guitar and lyrics and mark Dawson's endlessly inventive drumming . We just played it over and over with no one game to break the mysterious spell it cast late into that night . everyone left that gathering as fans and devotees to this giant Talent . an always amazing artist who repeatedly captured the peak of his powers.... thankyou Ed !

Mel Bay was the guy who killed my enthusiasm ..until I heard the lead guitarist (and backing screamer) from 'Oregon 49' and then I saw the face of God and found my chops

Has there been a reissue of 'I'm Stranded' LP? They've missed the 40th anniversary.

A nice surprise, stumbling on to this. Please pardon my ignorance but what new album does he mean? Anyone know the name of it?

That pesky clip on mic! Should've worn a collared shirt, like Ed, or maybe clipped the bloody thing on an ear lobe, that could've worked, practically and aesthetically...entertaining and illuminating interview, otherwise.
