I think he'd be perfect but I don't have to work with him either. Of course, we love him and I honestly don't think that boondocks will be able to continue without JD but I've also heard that some starts are nightmares to work with. His rant came off as self entitlement and arrogant, probably due to his grief but to completely negate the mourning of others, ie JW's coworkers to say that they were only mourning because they lost their character was as heartless as anyone minimizing he actually lost his DAD. I lost my baby sister and I remember being so consumed in my grief I felt that NO ONE could hurt as bad as I am but my nieces and nephew lost their MOM and my brother in law lost his wife. I only felt like that for a hot second but I still felt it and I think that's why he came off that way. Me, if I was the hiring director, I'd hire him in spite of that because how could it hurt for him to honor his dad but keeping his granddad character going better than anyone else could? I also know that the powers that be have felt that we don't feel pain like they do so their compassion is lacking. I'm real sorry for JD's loss and even sorrier that he didn't get the role that is so perfect for him but I'm not surprised either.
