Massive Zorn fan, Masada is one of his best projects (the arrangements Masada 2 book of angels series is also really good) other highlights are naked city (jazz as grindcore) And his filmworks - the big gun down (Zorn plays morricone) is extra special imo .. so much to discover

Have not been here for a while ... the bass player seems to me even better than last time ... great to be able to come back and listen again.

Im Sommer 1994 habe ich John Zorn zum ersten Mal bewusst live in Hamburg an einem heißen Sommertag gesehen ..... An einen Auftritt in Frankfurt wesentlich früher kann ich mich nicht mehr genau erinnern ....
these guys are unbelievable ... thank you so much for posting this wonderful music ... 41:30, I can't stop listening to this song ... I also love 8:09, 19:55

This is exactly the same concert that was released on CD as "John Zorn Masada Live" by Jazz Door, catalogue number JD 1293, with credits saying that it was a live recording from NYC, 1994. So CD credits were obviously wrong.

Zorn was definitely on an Ornette Coleman trip then. Wollesen is great here.
