I remember Little Peggy March singing this song. Ricky Nelson's version is more dreamy with haunting vibrato vocals, which is awesome. 👌 If you like this song, listen to Lonsome Town by Ricky Nelson.

When women do these song, they need to do it in a way which conveys the idea of female courageousness. Someone in a comment compared the Skeeter Davis rendition of "Someday Soon" with the Suzy Bogguss version and called the Boggus version far superior. As music, maybe it was, but there's the storytelling aspect too. Storytelling is important in pop music. At lot of people don't hear the harmonies and the backing tracks or don't pay attention to them. Everybody hears the words and the lead vocal.

I remember growing up with Ricky Nelson music and television shows in the 1950"s. I always loved his songs presented in such a professional manor where you could understand the lyrics and music very clearly. I remember hearing the news of his death in a plane cash while I was entertaining in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin, located by the Mississippi River. He will live forever in the groves of his records, and in the heart's of his fans across the world!.

I was born in 1951 and have enjoyed music all my life! It seemed like wherever we went there was a radio or jukebox or stereo playing. Now I'm a KZbin fan and have found so many older songs and some new music as well, or at least new to me. I don't remember this version of I Will Follow Him, but I love it. The other version my girlfriends in grade school use to sing on our walks around the school during our lunch hour! Nowadays instead of my transistor radio, I take my tablet with me to listen to - technology of today!

The stalker anthem. The first man in my life always played this song when he could get close to me. He followed and monitored me for months and in the end I gave in to him and his vows of love. It cost me five years of my youth and many experiences that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Decades have passed since then, my former stalker found me again and wanted me back, even though he is married and has a son and a granddaughter. When I hear this song, it takes me back to my youth and that experience. But I still love it because of Ricky.
