For sure he was, for the most drummers Vinnie is unreachable, while Zach beautifully shows how you can play songs composed by drumming gods, even though you are not on that godly level. He doesn't overplay, always inside his comfort zone, true to the song feel and groove. I think that's a special talent in it self. To play for the song, and keep it rock solid. Few days ago he made a drumeo video. Great pocket, and all the drummers that can't touch Vinnie, and that's the most, can learn from Zach a ton. Sting doesn't pick his musicians lightly.

Holy crap, I'm going to say what everyone is thinking? This drummer is fu#king terrible.. He's taking the whole band down. Sting, I know tours are expensive...and I know Vinnie and how much he charges but please, please you can do sooo much better for what you are paying this kid. There are some super talented young guys out there who would gladly tour the world with you for room and board and liner notes...Please Sting, this does not sound good.
