Annie Lennox has a genius IQ and the voice of a Siren. I would shipwreck myself to see her in concert again. Wrapped in what looked like leopard skin, feral and fearless, she tore the roof off the Orpheum. She's right up there with Paul Rodgers and Freddie, a rock goddess, born from original sin. She redeems us every time she sings a note. I hope she lives forever.

People are ENTITLED to their opinion. Music (and other forms of art) are subject to OPINION. Just because YOU think a piece of music sounds gorgeous doesn't make it "ultimately true". To me, this particular performance was mediocre at best and I am FAR FROM BEING deaf (I have an amazing musical ear). Even she said "I tried" knowing that her rendition was sort of imperfect and left a lot to be desired. I'm not hating. So glad KZbin sent this to me. I sit here in Covid lock down listening to Annie’s rendition of fragile, almost weeping thinking about the thousands that have died, and the impact on the world this plague has imposed. Never has there been a time like this. We truly are fragile. Hug your children and loved ones. 🌹😥🌹

under lockdown here in D.C. not that different than hunkering down in an extended weather emergency. but at least you can see weather. not knowing what thing you touch will send you to the hospital. thats scary.

Daniel. At this point I think I’ll take the weather. I’m hear in Florida and all we need is a bad hurricane season to top this whole thing off. I truly am praying we get a “buy” on the hurricane stuff. Take care, stay well. ☮️

Wow you've really made it when Annie Lennox sings you personally a song. What giants these two are.

I couldn't agree more that Annie Lennox has made this version her own. Very emotional and moving. Takes the song and lyrics up a level of immersiveness and imagination.

Powerful. Annie sings with such raw emotion. She is an amazing artist in every sense. 'Why', 'There Must Be An Angel' and and and.

Indeed, that was the first thing that came to my mind when she started, although I find her voice a bit fragile, but very beautiful.

To quote NS. "Don't push it. It will go up on its own." Annie struggled with nailing notes but the immensity of emotion .... wow.
@Len_Carson4 жыл бұрын
@@jimleane7578 And that is what makes these two artists stand head and shoulders above so many.. Miss Simone herself may not have had a great vocal range but the soul that she put into her delivery outweighs any technical shortcomings.

Annie Lennox what she shared with Sting, was Time, being in the moment, when time comes to almost a haul. Just for time its self doesn’t want you to miss a moment of it. Love of friendship given taken deep.

Annie Lennox is 1 the absolute best this world has produced in female voices. To hear her sing a song of one of the best male voices and writers to EVER do it in STING..... just absolutely made my night!!!❤❤❤

Annie Lennox is a first class act...and still gorgeous.

LOL...only a perfectionist like her says " I tried " after delivering such a wonderful performance; the little technical fails actually add layers of expressiveness and meaning to this song. Sting was clearly moved and admired of how she took that song to the depth and emotional complexity he always intended for it.
@swedmiroswedmiro13525 жыл бұрын
Her naked voice sets the song alight, dares to be vulnerable, dares to be weak. That is the strength of Annie Lennox.
