I have no one to love here on earth (besides my dogs) and I am a hugger, even though I haven’t been hugged by anyone in a long time. When I see Jesus I’m going to give Him the biggest bear hug and never let go. I am so happy that He can be everywhere at the same time because I won’t want to share Him with anyone! This was excellent, but let me be provocative: In 1 Corinthians 15, the context is not the rapture, but the resurrection (obviously he's talking about the resurrection AT the rapture, but what I'm suggesting is that his context is more specific than just that event). So when Paul says that we are changed "in the twinkling of an eye", he's not suggesting that the rapture itself happens instantaneously, but rather, that the translation from flesh to spirit happens in that brief moment of time. What am I implying? The rapture itself may not be an instantaneous event. There's a precedent for this, too - look at Matthew 27:52. "And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!” You can see here that this resurrection event occurs as a sign and a witness to those who were on the earth. I believe the rapture performs the same function - and, perhaps more importantly, that this is why when the seals are opened (Rev. 6) the people of the earth know EXACTLY what is happening ("And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”") What has occurred that even the unbelievers of the earth know that God's wrath has come? Is it merely the events of the first five seals? I don't believe so. I believe that the rapture is a gradual (if still rapid) event - ("for the dead in Christ will rise first... AND AFTER THAT, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them to meet with the Lord in the air"). There's a process here, a structure to it. I believe that "the dead in Christ will rise first" and appear as a witness, much as the saints of Jerusalem did at the crucifixion. Then, they will be caught up to meet with the Lord in the air, and that will be the moment of our own translation. In these brief moments, as the whole world sees the resurrection of the dead, the gospel will be preached and men will be left without excuse - so that when the judgment comes, they will know precisely who is responsible. "The great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand".

I had a rapture dream unexpectedly and it scares me so much so that it changed my life. I came close to Jesus. The best analogy I can give is the movie alecium or is it spelled ellecium? It was crazy people running around confused in the streets at night with helecopters in the dark with flashing light on the people in the streets.

The coming of the Son of Man (Mat 24:30-31), like Noah and Lot (Luke17:26-30), will take place before the Day of the Lord (Gods wrath upon the wicked) (Mat. 24:36-39); the appearing of the Word of God will take place after Gods wrath is over (Rev. 16:17; 19:11-21) These are different events, taking place at different times, for different reasons, each having a different result. Both will be accomplished by our Lord Jesus during His 2nd coming.

Let’s remember the 70th week of Daniel is never called the tribulation period. (Daniel 9:24) When our Lord says after the tribulation of these days, He is referring to the tribulation of the first five seals on the outside of the heavenly scroll. (Mat. 24:4-26, Rev. 6:1-11) The events from the first three seals, the beginning of sorrows, will take place in the first half of the seven years. (Mat. 24:4-8, Rev. 6:1-6) The Lamb of God will open the 4th seal in the middle of the 70th week. (Rev. 6:7-8, Mat. 24:9-26) This marks the beginning of the great tribulation of the saints by the Beast. (Mat. 24:21-22, Rev. 13:3-7) Martyrs are seen in heaven after the 5th seal opens. (Rev. 6:9-11) Immediately after the tribulation of the first five seals, the sun, moon, and stars will lose their light. (Mat. 24:29, Rev. 6:12-17, Joel 3:15, Isa. 13:10) The Son of Man will come with the dead in Christ and His angels after the opening of the 6th seal. (Mark 13:24-27, 1 Thes. 4:14-15)

I experienced the twinkle of an eye. It happen 30 years ago, I was asleep in Christ, I called on God at the lowest part of my life, he came rushing in.
