My goodness sir, I can get a better conceptual understanding of stability with just a handfull of your videos, compared to a whole semester of university. Great work as usual John, thanks again.

No Hurry On This Side Of The Screen either. I'm digging the process. Enjoying the conversation between both sides of YOUR brain for a change. Saves US from asking a bunch-a-questions. Very relaxing

The amplifier's really coming along nicely, John. I'm learning a some new things, too. It's also nice to see Snickers, since I seem to recall that we only got a meow last time. :)

I watched your playlist twice and I am getting a lot each time. Thanks a lot for this playlist. One question though, could you explain the section of input stage CC where we have 3 resistor junction connection with a 47 cap tied to +ive rail.

Excellent experiment, sir, bloody excellent experiment. Under-damped, critical-damped to over-damped close loop control system mechanism performance. 22:47 is Snickers bored with everything? Let him wandering around in your neighborhood, sir. Cheers from Indonesia

HI John, maybe it's also a good idea to put a smal capacitor from your board ground to the heatsink. Your heatsink creates a big capacitor with respect to your board.

i hope you have a chapter on how to cool your amp, because i think it will need a hefty heatsink in order to get best performance from it.

As they say, no heat sink is too large!

Where did you put in those miller caps?

What do you do for a living besides spoil Snickers LOL I suggest you post these videos on the EEVBLOG "other blog" forum

the term you are looking for is "copper pour", not flood filled ground. mike
@JohnAudioTech5 жыл бұрын
I must be thinking of paint programs where you can flood fill areas with colors.
@snaprollinpitts5 жыл бұрын
@Prince Bumpkin within the electronics field, the term "copper pour" is correct. also the term flood filled ground is not found. I happen to be very fussy when it comes to English, and it's proper use. either you know the difference, or you don't.

Can you recommend me a decent quality class ab amplifier circuit that can give about 100w i would like to build my own amplifier but not too expensive.

I think you should also try a sine wave. I know why you're using a square wave to test your design, but real music and/or speech is not square. You may not see this problem at all using a sine wave. If that's the case, is it really a problem?

It's about testing stability. A stable amplifier is very important. You don't know what would cause it to oscillate and when it would. Pushing a little to the edge would be acceptable but lower than 47p would not be really acceptable in this case.

Having at least 45 degree of phase margin or more than 60 optimally is necessary. You can convert to percent overshoot.
