I dont think anyone could reasonably expect for superman to be less anticipated than the fantastic four. There is so much more riding on Superman, actually being good. The fantastic four has never been a particularly popular ip in the movies but the amount of views it got shows that the mcu still has a great amount of currency with the movie going public.

Nobody is doing 4 movies a week, every week that doesnt talk about movies all day lol "Thats an hour a week, 4 hours a month" That's also 32+ hours a month of watching movies in a theater seat... you add drive time and concessions that's probably another 16 hours a month... If your already pushing 50+ hours a month just to the movie theater, what's 4 more

The Smurfs have been around since the late 50’s. There was even a black and white cartoon in the early 60’s before the one we all know from the 80’s. It’s an IP that is for little children that gets updated every decade. This is for 5 year olds. There was a Smurf movie where they come to NY in 2012 with Neil Patrick Harris.

John insists on counting the unreleased FF movie as a failure, even though only 2% of the movie going audience has ever seen. Not to mention that the Fox FF movies were not financial failures (both made more than The Flash), and those figures are 20 years old. Were they good movies? No, but they weren't nearly as terrible as he makes them out to be.

I want my two dollars, was an amazing reverence even if he was thinking of the wrong movie title, I loved that movie and a deep cut. For me it was the drag racing, loved those we got to save the mountain from the greedy developer ski movies of the 80's

I mean, can't really compare the Alpha level DC IP to a Beta level Marvel IP. It was kinda like people comparing The Batman to Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness. This even makes you think what is the state of DC movies currently. Their A level IPs are at best only competing with B level Marvel IPs

I think a downside of having the movie start time is just as the movie is starting and several minutes after, you’ll have more people bustling around trying to get seated. It’s going to take away from the experience for people who show up early enough to get settled in before the movie starts.

I don’t think their earth is going to be destroyed by Galactus that would be too traumatizing. The characters would be fundamentally changed from the comics. I think they have to be on a journey from their universe to save earth and they’re gonna be stuck in our world for a while maybe Reed will discover the negative sound while trying to get back to his world. Maybe our world is where the ultimate fire is. Maybe he’s figured out how to leave his universe and be able to return there at the same time that they left

The last star wars movie, even tho it wasn't very good, also made over a billion dollars... Of these trilogies, the first in each came out about 5 months apart, JW made 1.6 billion, TFA bad over 2 2 years later their sequels both made 1.3 billion, also about 5 months apart Then two years later the last sw does 1 billion and like 3 years after that the last JW does 1 billion.... And I'd argue none of these movies were great, and only the first of each were even good. Just doesn't seem obvious it'll be jurassic world

Nothing has replaced the popularity of the mcu post endgame, nothing. All this talk about the public being over comicbook movies has always been an internet myth pushed mostly by people who've always hated that they exist. People want to go out to the theaters and be entertained by the blockbuster which these superhero movies provide. People want to see a return to form superman and are invested in seeing a quality mcu film again like we use to get annually.

No one watched Loki. And Marvel knows it, hence why they had to reference a specific episode in DP&W in order to explain what the void is. If the last Marvel offering that you watched was Quantumania, you'd probably be pretty confused to never see Kang ever again after that post credit scene.
