I like it when the background guys sing “still know nuthin bout me” in the traditional jazz band way when they put down their horns… Nice.

The last Sting album I thought was really enjoyable.

I've always liked The Police and even saw them live in 1983, but when Sting started his solo career, I was much less taken with what he was doing in the 80s (I saw him live in 1986 with his hired jazz musicians but I must admit I was bored the whole time). The only two albums I can listen to on occasion are The Soul Cages (1991) and his follow-up Ten Summoner's Tales (1993), but that's about it. The guy has always taken himself too seriously, it's getting annoying (fortunately there was Stewart and Andy in The Police to bring him back down to earth from time to time!😉).

I've seen a few things where Stewart Copeland really gives him some shit to let him know he ain't boss. Stewart started the band so he figured he had a say in how things went.

@@JohnCregoWorldMusic Yes, I've also seen footage of the tense relationship between Stewart and Sting, and the confrontation was often well deserved, with Sting getting so worked up over such trivial matters. Apparently Copeland often defended Andy Summers against Sting's futile attacks! It's a miracle that these three managed to release five albums!😉
