I have the john deere z930m efi with 300hrs and my transmission leaks like hell and the tech told me I have the wrong gaskets in my year model the ones I have fail often and it's at my cost another good job john deere

Bypass levers stay out until after last step per manual. Not clear in video because they don't list next steps after the three times forward and backward with the handles. Read manual for the full directions: 19. Push both motion control levers to full forward and hold for 5 seconds. Pull both control levers to full reverse and hold for 5 seconds. Repeat two additional times. 20. Stop the engine. 21. Push the bypass levers forward to the closed position. 22. Use a safe lifting device to raise the drive wheels off the ground. Remove the jack stands. 23. Start the engine. 24. Move throttle lever to the 3/4 fast idle position. 25. Unlock park brake. 26. Run engine in full throttle for 5 minutes and then cycle motion control levers forward and rearward several times. Check for leaks around filters. 27. Stop the engine. Check oil level. Add oil as necessary.

How does the bypass valve work on a z820a. I know where the valve is at, but how far do you unscrew it and procedure on removing air?

"On both transmissions turn bypass valve one and one half to two full turns counter clockwise to the open position." You can find many of our Operator's Manuals online at techpubs.deere.com.

So let me get this straight...I pull the bypass lever to put trans in bypass mode,turn both tires one revolution forward,one revolution backwards..then return the bypass lever back to the run position. Get on mower and do the purge method?

Here is the step by step instructions for this portion of the service: On both transmissions, pull the bypass levers back to the open position. Rotate each drive tire by hand 1 full revolution forward and backward. Check and fill reservoir until oil level is between MIN and MAX marks on reservoir. Lower seat. Start engine. Allow engine to idle for 1 minute at low idle. Push both motion control levers to full forward and hold for 5 seconds. Pull both control levers to full reverse and hold for 5 seconds. Repeat two additional times. Stop the engine. Push the bypass levers forward to the closed position.

i want to know how to change the blades in the Z525E if we don't have a mover jack?

scanjett I’ve changed the blades on my mowers on the job site by running one side of the mower up on the trailer ramp where the other half is hanging off then pull it up on the other side to change the other blades. Not the safest way to do it but it will allow you to change them in a pinch without a lift or jack

I have a z535m dealer says it doesn't have a serviceable filter i have no visible oil at 8 hrs and the dealers response was the machine is only made for 1 hour a week. Kinda tired of hearing that maybe fire some people in rogers mn. If i got less than an hour i would use a push mower not an 6k$ setup.

The Z535 uses dual hydrostatic transmissions, you weren’t robbed by this video, only John Deere !
