Exactly right, Kelly. Why would you want to "delete" anything related to your life? It made you who you are. Granted, if there's a picture of the two of you from like yesterday then yeah we may have a problem. But you looking through my phone for something and a memory pops up from like 2014? Why would you get mad at me for that? That was 10 years ago and I likely haven't seen him since.

It's not only women trying to change men. A long time ago, I met a guy and we struck up a conversation. He was impressed that I was leading a full life and starting a small business. After dating for a few months, he first accused me of cheating because of the amount of quart beers accumulating in my make-shift returnables bin. I told him that they were all his and reminded him that he promised to take them back for the returns because i didn't consume anything in returnable bottles. He didn't want to accept that they were all his.. (He was a great guy AND an alcoholic.) Once we got past that, I reminded him what he initially said he liked about me and told him he needed to find a woman who could give him 75% of her time. In response, he asked, "Why can't you do that?!"

Do I kick my son out when he turns 18 to go live with his dad? Or wait til he graduates in May.? He continues to sell drugs, vape, use thc, drink, socialize with people I don’t know while on probation after being in juvenile detention back in February possibly facing 20 years in adult prison if he gets caught again! I’ve taken away the car, installed blocking apps on his phone. Done tough love. Stripped his room. Put up cameras and security alarms on his bedroom window. He Continues to buy and find burner phones and use social media apps we’ve banned from the beginning of cell phone usage. His father does not follow through in discipline and boundaries we set for him. My son just started a clothing business with a Pakistani in Pakistani without my knowledge but his father knew. His father let him go to a concert on a school and work night on dad’s parenting night.

I love your advice John, but I disagree with your thinking that women thinking they could change men is a recent phenomenon. It's been happening for thousands of years. There's an old saying that women marry men hoping they will change and men marry women hoping they never will (change). I believe that thinking is becoming less so since women have more choices as they are becoming financial equals with men.
