@@alexb3852 I agree, it's important to remember. Really anyone can be like this, be like him. Train your relationship to struggling, be kind to yourself and anyone can learn to keep pushing, even when it gets hard. And I'd bet John agrees, otherwise why make videos about his process?

100% agree. This video seems more authentic, and creates a more personable side of Fish as 20 year old, highly intelligent, easy going, college student -- with a real sense of humor. The lighter side of his personality is rarely shown in videos. This was an immensely enjoyable viewing.

I've got to say, after my experience in an internship, I realized how time-consuming catching up with emails and calendar updates can be. Like, no wonder it's so stressful - it's getting in the way of the real work of the day! On that note, that's why I like your productivity videos so much. I learn something new again even if I've seen the video several times months before.

I love how you're like just an incredible role model. You never try to be this "motivation speaker" or try to be productive af and tell the others they have to be the most productive people ever otherwise they're not successful or something. You share your real days, real problems, real things you have to do in a day. I recently started programming and you're one of the people who inspired me to start doing that. I didn't know whereto start from, what to do but just a couple of hours of research helped me and know now what to start with at least. Also one question, the thing is that i've never ordered anything from Amazon, is that possible to order your book to other countries/continents (russia)? Thanks!

Everything you say and plan is right. I am often listening to speeches or debates and suddenly get a burts of inspiration and motivation but the real challenge is to make it last. EDIT: And thanks for addressing the misconception that Harvard students have “perfect” routines and schedules. Everyone had shortcomings and lazy days but it is possible to improve, as we can’t achieve and attain perfection, but if we try, we can master a few aspects.

don't know whether John will see this but just some questions : - If you exceed the time in which you have to finish a task, do you stop what you're doing entirely or eat into the time for the next task ? - How do you know how long a task might take ?
@VyrahiS5 жыл бұрын
Not John Fish but as far as I am concerned I realized it was all about repetition. As long as you set up your schedule regularly you'll be able to find out how much time each activites require. It does not have to be rigid or very precise but you need to know how much time on average you'll need to spend on these activites in order to fulfill your goals.

what do you do when you did things out of schedule? for example, you have lunch at 11:30 to 12, and what do you do when you still hasn't finished lunch till 12? and also, how do you take a rest ? sometimes you might get sick, or may get sick of keeping the schedules all the sudden. I am asking this question because i am pretty much doing the same thing as what you do in Korea, and i am now facing those problems right now so.. i want to know how you deal with those problems. ps. your videos are very inspiring which motivates me a lot. thank you for that.

Hi John ! I am a 17 years old teen living in France. Your channel truly inspires me, your life seems so healthy! I really appreciate your "philosophy" (I mean, the way you seem to think, the way you act and the values you indirectly promote in your videos). I was wondering, what are you views on love, your opinion about it? And, did you always accepted yourself or did you struggle to accept and love/embrace who you are? (I talk like an instagram model lmao sorry) As most of teenagers, I am really struggling with who I am at the moment, especially with my physical appearance. You really inspires me and I wish I could have your opinion on the matter ! I hope that my message is 80% clear, if not, sorry but I'm french ! (and god knows french people struggle with speaking foreign languages lmao)

I like this episode. Emails are such time stealers for me. They demand high-speed conversation via a much slower process that involves proofreading; since it's all being written down, what you write does matter. I just blame the fact that we all get too many of them when there's only 24 hours in a day. So it's the anticipation of losing time. I sometimes get your productivity rubbed off on me for the day of my own, so thanks!
