Team Force still keeps going even after a crash. Did John give up after Dallas? nope he spent most of his time in the ICU but was back next season and his daughters helped Team Force finish the season. Crashes, fires, accidents, flameouts, cars blowing up, and misfires are all part of the job, but Team Force keeps going. Cars can be replaced members of Team Force can't they lost Medlen, they lost Scott Kalitta, and they almost lost John because of wear and tear on the cars and sabotage by the other teams. Since Medlen's death all cars are fitted with a roll cage and springs which eject the shell and the engine away from the car in a crash. Advanced Auto 2 and Peak 3 were destroyed in crashes but John and Courtney survived the reason being is these cars were built at Project Medlen in Indy and they are designed to eject the driver and frame out of the car if there is a crash and protect the driver from fire. When John crashed in 07 there was no safety equipment, but he survived because the Castrol car had a Medlen cockpit all John got was 7 broken bones and second degree burns but he was back on the track by next season because Team Force made these cars to be sacrificial if a crash happens. Cars can be replaced people can't John said it there is a monster out there and if you mess up it will get you that's why Team Force is trying to make these cars safer so only the driver survives, and they can get a new shell on the car if a crash happens in hours. Team Force has 4 trucks for each member of the team plus two backups 16 trucks total plus their command truck. The primary truck holds the car each driver uses the backups hold a backup car plus shells if the primary or backup are destroyed in a crash. If anything happens to a car, they just tow it to the garage and put a new shell on and new parts and it is back on the track in hours.
