Excellent demonstration John. If you find that there’s still a limitation after the manipulation would you perform some additional METs or Mulligan techniques to further improve patient’s range? Or would you opt for dry needling? It almost sounds like someone is standing behind the camera snapping their fingers as you get the cavitation. Cheers
@JohnGibbons2 жыл бұрын

If you use a MET do you bring the head in the same position (side bending and heterolateral rotation) and what kind of contraction do you ask ? rotation or combined? (rotation and side bending)
@JohnGibbons3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't really matter in one respect as long as the muscle is contracted using an MET as you will get a relaxation effect, regards JG

Vitamin d deficiency can cause all this. b12 deficiency too. Try supplementing. A good high dose vitamin d with high dose magnesium. Dont take vitamin d alone. And a good b12 supplement. Might help, give it a try.

Hello John, I'm struggling with my c1 misalignment. I'm seeing an upper cervical chiropractor but I don't think the technique used is getting to the source of my problems. I think perhaps a wrong angle. I had one fantastic adjustment in which my symptoms disappeared about 80% but after that (3 months) he's never made an adjustment that felt as relieving as that. Could you recommend someone for me to see who knows their stuff? I'm Bedfordshire based and desperate, so willing to travel a little! Many thanks.
@drcarriemills87722 жыл бұрын
Find an atlas orthogonal specialized chiropractor. An AO chiropractor. Highly specialized...all they do is adjust the atlas using sound wave after x-ray and diagnosis. You only need to go once a year at most. Fixes your whole spine. No more back pain no more migraines No joke.

The utility of tests are questionable... at best. They provide little to no positive predictive value and theoretically may cause harm. Over the past 30-years, they have been recommended for medical legal purposes, but this is not good clinical decision-making practice.
