Glad you had a good time. We gamers and Milwaukeeans love having visitors. Now, would it be amazing if this show expanded into the new area of the Baird Center, as the convention center is nearly doubling in size.

That's a great way to spend a birthday. I was one of the judges of the Byte Off 4 competition for NES homebrew, so I appeared at the show virtually during the award presentation.

Doc's was a good choice! Been there several times on trips to Milwaukee and they never disappoint. We hit up the Third St Market ourselves for the first time after the MGC promoter pimped it in his emails before the event. Fri night was Mader's and the Comedy Sportz Improv, which was a lot of fun too!

It looks like you had a great time at the convention as did I being my first time attending MGC. It was great to chat with you and the other social media guests as well. I appreciate you all taking the time to chat with us even though most of us do not have content on social media. We (viewers) support all of you and the fact you and the others recognize that makes you all the more genuine to me. I appreciate that so much. Happy belated birthday and what an amazing celebration! I'm sure I'll get to say hello at another convention here in 2024. I don't think I have a favorite root beer but Sprecher is tasty. Take care!

Great to see CRTs at such a show, it totally makes sense. Of course it depends on preferences of people, but to me, CRTs are a must for classic gaming. Heck, I even have my 360 attached to one and use my Switch via an adaptor on a CRT every now and then 📺

It's really crazy to think that just a couple of years ago you could get them for free all day long. People were leaving them on the corner with the trash.

It’s definitely Sprecher. Ice cold out of the glass bottle right after you crack the top and that cool steam rises. That first sip is perfect. It’s so cool you had an awesome time in my hometown. Happy Birthday as well, John. !!!🥳

My family also had a great time there as well! To say it was huge was an understatement. I spent over 5 hours going through all the booths in the vendor hall and walked away with a lot of good games to play. I thought the prices at most booths were pretty good and many allowed me to haggle on the price. The pinball and arcade machines they had setup were fantastic. We also found the board game room downstairs and were able to spend a few hours in the room playing whatever game we wanted. Every vendor was super nice as well as the patrons. They had some fantastic BBQ at that place.

On the CRT topic, I gave away my last Trinitron like 7 years ago. I find it way better to use my 2008 model Sony Bravia flat screen which has 3 rwy rca inputs, and 4 hd inputs. I have Dreamcast, PS2, and OG Xbox on the rca inputs, and PS3 and 4, Genesis and NES minis on hd inputs. Sony Bravia 2008 has all these inputs standard and is my living room game center. No adapters needed. Found this to be better than CRT.

That import seller was horribly over priced not to mention there where alot of over priced venders and its happens alot and cons and its a-shame! And the crt vender was very high for something you can pick up locally for me for free! It was great show and great people the vender hall this year had so much better space than last year i could get to tables and get to see things so much better!
@johnhancockretro6 ай бұрын
Yeah CRTs are not available in many areas and the market prices are going up due to out of production. Important to know that table costs are not free and driving around is expensive. These need to be considered when looking at prices.
